Cadillac goes on brand with ‘stars and stripes’ livery for maiden US F1 race

Cadillac has chosen a partisan livery for its debut Formula 1 race in America with a ‘stars and stripes’ colour scheme for this weekend’s Miami Grand Prix.

The Silverstone-based squad is three rounds into its F1 journey, having made its debut in Australia after years of toil and effort from its owner, TWG Motorsports, to enter the sport.

With veterans Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez at the wheel, the team is in good hands to move itself up the grid amid F1’s new radical era.

Cadillac has been proud to brandish its American identity straightaway, and the livery, presented by TWG’s AI division, is a firm rubberstamping of that.

Taking its existing livery, the stars and stripes have been woven into it, with 50 stars – one for each state – embedded onto the front wing.

“The Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s special Miami Grand Prix livery is a natural extension and speaks without excess. It’s deliberate and confident,” said Cassidy Towriss, the team’s Chief Brand Advisor.

“This is our first home race, and it mattered to us that fans still recognize what they’ve come to know. I can’t wait for the crowd to see it on track for the first time. There’s no place like home.”

The American touches provides a feel of patriotism for the Miami GP

President of TGW AI, Drew Cukor, added: “Miami is a big moment for the team, and we’re proud to have our name on the car for it. This new livery for the first American race is more than just a design — it’s a statement of identity and intent.

“It celebrates the shared heritage of two American brands coming together, united by a relentless drive to push boundaries and innovate.

“That synergy is what makes this partnership so special, and this livery is a bold reflection of the ambition and forward-thinking spirit that TWG AI brings to the team.”

The car will be seen for the first time on Friday in F1’s extended 90-minute FP1 at the Miami International Autodrome, in what is the sport’s second Sprint Race weekend of this season.
